VOLUNTEERS

Volunteer positions are limited and you must be able to commit to one 3-hour shift weekly for at least 6 months.

The Wildlife Learning and Conservation Center offers various volunteer opportunities for dedicated individuals who are interested in helping with our efforts to care for displaced animals and to educate the public in the life sciences. Volunteers play an important role in keeping WLCC a clean and enjoyable place for visitors. We are immensely appreciative of our volunteers and recognize that we couldn’t do what we do without our amazing volunteers! Because WLCC cares for wild and exotic animals that require highly specialized care and can be potentially dangerous, we are very selective in choosing volunteers and they do not work hands-on with the animals.

The facility is open during all weather conditions, so volunteers should come prepared for inclement weather. Wildlife Learning and Conservation Center is a smaller facility, located on a 1-acre property. Reasonable accommodations can be made upon request.

Biologist Volunteer

In the Wildlife Learning and Conservation Center Volunteer program, individuals assist Staff Biologists in their daily animal care and cleaning and facility maintenance tasks. This placement is ideal for people trying to gain exotic animal experience.
