Aimee

Aimee has a strong dedication to all wildlife and was first introduced to the animal field when she did a summer education internship at the Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR. From then on she knew she wanted to pursue animal education and conservation and left her pursuit in Biology at Cal State Fullerton to apply to the Exotic Animal Training and Management Program (EATM) at Moorpark College where she graduated with an Associates and certificate. Here she learned the proper husbandry, handling, training, enrichment and education practices of many animals species ranging from invertebrates to primates.

During the program, Aimee worked at the Animal Actors show at Universal Studios Hollywood where she gained more experience with training while performing in front of hundreds of guests. She later began to work at STAR Eco Station in Culver City where she actively went to schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District and taught them about animals and how important they are to our ecosystem.

Aimee is now a full time staff member at Wildlife Learning Center and pursuing her Zoology degree through Oregon State’s eCampus program in hopes of gaining more knowledge into becoming a better animal advocate and inspiring future wildlife ambassadors.
