LARYSA

Larysa graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017. She knew from a young age that she wanted to have a positive impact on the world and decided to pursue a Bachelor of Environmental Science with a minor in Conservation Biology. Her studies allowed her to learn about the natural sciences and humanities, but the field classes were especially enjoyable for her.

After graduating from UCLA, Larysa worked for the U.S. Forest Service before joining the team of biologists at WLC.

Though Larysa loves all types of animals, she has a special appreciation for those native to Southern California and often goes birding and paints what she sees. Larysa loves seeing others get excited about animals and hopes that sharing her appreciation for them will inspire future generations of conservationists.
